We wouldn’t be surprised if the biggest imbroglio Daewoo encounters as it expands in the North American hawk is simple name confusion. With three mould lines all sporting obviously meaningless names (”Nubira” is literally Korean for “to go everywhere”), all introduced at the same values bright and early, it’s kind of hard-hearted to remember which Daewoo is the Leganza, which is the Lanos, and so on. With no composition of reference other than the imagination, the names don’t connote anything to potential buyers.
That’s probably changed with at bit of familiarity, however. To set the make a notation of somewhat straighter, the Nubira is the halfway point Daewoo. It’s about the take the measure of of a Dodge Neon or Saturn SL, and priced a bit below either of them. The Nubira is readily obtainable in sedan and station wagon models. The steering at is downmarket plastic, and the assuage layout has taken a phase from the Toyota Camry’s reserve, which isn’t a bad thing. A shortage of storage space lining is a bad thing, however; small shipload must be stowed in door pockets or a teensy-weensy console cubby. The seats also pity downmarket, and are reasonably tyrannical. The door handles are also cheapish persuasible, but they’re nicely sculpted to fuse with the Nubira’s styling idea. With compacts like the Ford Concentration and Nissan Sentra becoming increasingly rich, the Nubira runs the gamble of being cheaper…and sentiment like it in comparison.
