CEAT draws aggressive growth plans
CEAT Ltd., the flagship friends of the Rs. 14,500-crore RPG Bunch, has reported strong results for the casern ended March 2009. The PBT improved by 70 per cent from Rs. 21.5 crores in the fourth neighbourhood of last year to Rs. 36.5 crores in the same days this year. High operating effectiveness and exemplary working first-class management yielded height profitability.
Mr. Paras K. Chowdhary, Managing Chairman, CEAT Ltd., said: “The suite’s focus on improving operational efficiencies is reflected in the results. While we will remain maintaining our export power, it is our constant endeavor to strengthen our volumes in the domestic retail. The coming year is expected to be darned challenging. Our focus will be on enhancing value and productivity and reducing costs to increase our top and bottomline”.
CEAT is on a major restructuring campaign to shed its extra flab and take a new lease on life operational efficiency. The whole organize of looking inward started in 2008 when the friends celebrated its 50th year with the unveiling of a new manufacturer identity. The new branding lead will have its impact in the next two-three years.
