Under the Hood: Diagnosing a break-light problem

Challenge: I have driven my Camry for 16 years and never even dream about the brake fluid other than keeping the cylinder full. About a month ago my brake counsel light popped on and I don't recollect what caused that to happen. Today my suppress siphoned half of the old brake fluid out (and it was brown) and replaced it with new fluid. The flame remained on. He removed the sensor that is in the master cylinder and that made the flare go out. Could it be that the sensor is bad or could I still have a brake problem? Your judgement would be greatly appreciated.

Support: It sounds like the brake fluid square switch in your Camry initially closed, illuminating the red brake admonition lamp, due to low fluid level, and is persisting, due to a sticking/binding establish (part of the switch - it's how the switch detects fluid on the up). The only other reasons for this lamp to shine would be a deployed parking brake, a flaky parking brake beat, or a shorted-to-ground wire pre-eminent to either switch. Since the lamp stopped complimentary after your husband disconnected it, the fluid floor switch is clearly the accused.

How much brake fluid and what type for @T?

I'm persuaded this will have been covered somewhere here already, but I can't seem to find it in the search.

Merely ordered a motrax scarcely bleeder brake bleeding valve (looks like a purposeful little device) and my next inconsistent with is to buy some brake fluid for when it arrives.

Does anyone have any thorough recommendations for the type of brake fluid to get, and how much would be needed to change the fluid in an RD04 Africa twin (front and back)?

I'm not impaired to get too much as I've heard it doesn't keep well, so don't demand to be wasting money on chemicals that I'll necessity to dispose of unused if I can refrain from it.

I know it probably recommends this in the haines vade-mecum, but from what I can gather there are newer silicone based fluids convenient now that don't absorb water or ideal corrosion, so not sure if I should be using one of those in place of (the drawback with those seems to be that the leave the brakes appreciation spongy even when bled correctly which sounds a bit worrying but this is the first measure I've done it so not sure if that's even a problem).

Any tips or favourites, or should I even-handed pick up the cheapest from halfords?
